Before You Buy
Does the price include the van? +
Yes. The listed price is the complete, ready-to-drive vehicle — RAM ProMaster chassis, full interior build, all systems installed. No hidden costs.
Are prices negotiable? +
No. We offer transparent, fair pricing for everyone. No haggling, no dealer markup.
What's the difference between Trailhead and Backcountry? +
Both trims include the same interior build quality. Backcountry adds double the battery (600Ah vs 300Ah), double the solar (400W vs 200W), swivel seats, and the full SLT safety tech package (adaptive cruise, blind spot detection, 360-degree camera, and more).
Can the van handle snow and gravel roads? +
Yes. The RAM ProMaster is front-wheel drive, which puts engine weight over the drive wheels for solid traction. Our team drives these vans through Colorado winters on I-70 regularly. Many owners upgrade to all-terrain tires for added confidence on dirt and gravel.
Is there an indoor shower? +
Our vans don't include a fixed indoor shower — and that's intentional. A permanent shower stall takes up valuable living space and rarely gets used. Instead, the kitchen faucet has an extendable hose that works as a rinse station, and we offer an external shower add-on ($800). Many owners use campground facilities, gym memberships, or portable shower setups.
What is a composting toilet? +
A composting toilet separates liquids and solids to eliminate odor and reduce waste. No water, no chemicals, no holding tank to dump. It is the preferred option for extended travel and off-grid use. Available as a $2,500 upgrade on any model.
Can I visit the factory? +
Yes. We're at 6 Powerline Road in Rifle, Colorado. Schedule a visit in advance by calling 970.406.4541. Fly into Denver and take the Amtrak to Glenwood Springs — we're 30 minutes from there.
Financing
What are the monthly payments? +
Estimated payments: LV3 from ~$530/mo, LV5 from ~$580/mo, LV7 from ~$690/mo (based on 10% down, 20-year term, 7% APR). Use our payment calculator on the financing page for your specific scenario.
What credit score do I need? +
680+ recommended for the best rates through our primary lender. Lower scores may qualify through alternative lenders with adjusted terms.
What's the down payment? +
10% minimum. On the LV3 at $79,995, that is approximately $8,000 down.
Is there a prepayment penalty? +
No. Pay off your loan early with zero penalty. The 20-year term keeps monthly payments low, but you're free to pay it off whenever you want.
Can I use my own bank? +
Absolutely. Every DM Van is RVIA-certified, so any bank that offers RV loans can finance it.
The Buying Process
What happens after I place a deposit? +
Within 1-2 business days, your sales contact calls to review your build. Then you finalize financing, we build your van (current timeline: 4-8 weeks), and arrange delivery or pickup. Full details on our buying guide page.
How long does the build take? +
Currently 4-8 weeks from deposit, depending on your position in the build queue. We build approximately 3 vans per week.
How does delivery work? +
Two options: Pick up in Rifle, Colorado (fly into Denver, take the train to Glenwood Springs). Or we ship it on an insured flatbed to your door. Shipping costs vary by distance.
What about taxes and registration? +
DM Vans is a Colorado manufacturer. You'll register the van at your local DMV and pay state/county taxes there. We provide all necessary documents including the MCO (Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin) and temporary Colorado registration valid for 60 days.
Ownership
What's the warranty? +
Three-year craftsmanship guarantee on our build work. The RAM ProMaster comes with its own 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and 5-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty.
What if something breaks far from Colorado? +
Every DM Van is RVIA-certified, which means any RV dealer or service center in the country can work on it. Our customer success team also provides phone troubleshooting support.
How often do I need to maintain the heater? +
Run your heater at maximum temperature (95 degrees F) for at least 60 minutes once per month, even in summer. This prevents carbon buildup and is the number one way to avoid heater issues.
Can I add upgrades after purchase? +
Yes. All factory upgrades can be installed at our shop in Rifle. Contact us for current pricing and scheduling.
