Is This Your Van?
The LV3 is our most compact model. It parks like a minivan, fits in your garage, and carries everything two people need for weeks on the road. It's for people who want a camper van that doesn't take over their life — it fits into it.
Weekend Warriors
Friday after work to Sunday night. Trailheads, ski resorts, climbing crags. The LV3 is always packed and ready because it lives in your garage.
Daily Drivers
At 18 feet, the LV3 parks like a minivan. Grocery runs, commuting, school pickup. This is your only vehicle if you want it to be.
Solo & Couples
Everything two people need, nothing they don't. The short queen sleeps two comfortably. One vehicle, infinite weekends.
Value-First Buyers
The most accessible entry into a professionally built, RVIA-certified camper van. No compromises on build quality — just a more compact footprint.

Not just specs on a page. Walk through the van, open every drawer, see the space in context.
What 18 Feet Looks Like
353 cubic feet of living space. Kitchen, bed, storage, and room to stand up straight at 6'3".
How Everything Works
Not specs — real answers about daily life in your van. The honest stuff other companies don't tell you.
Heater — Espar Diesel
Your Espar heating system runs off the van's fuel tank — about one cup of diesel per day. It heats the entire van in minutes, even in sub-zero temps. One thing to know: run it at max temperature for 60 minutes once a month to prevent carbon buildup. Set a phone reminder. This is the same heating system used in European ambulances and commercial vehicles. It's proven, efficient, and reliable.
Air Conditioning
The Backcountry trim includes 12V off-grid AC that runs entirely from your battery bank — no hookups needed. With the 600Ah system, expect 4-6 hours of cooling. The Trailhead trim supports AC through shore power (120V) at campgrounds. Honest take: if you camp in hot climates without hookups regularly, the Backcountry's 12V AC and larger battery bank is worth the upgrade.
Electrical — How Long Off-Grid?
The Trailhead carries 300Ah of lithium with 200W of rooftop solar. For light use — lights, fridge, phone charging, fan — that's 2-3 days without any charging input. The Backcountry doubles everything: 600Ah battery, 400W solar, dual DC-DC chargers. That's 4-7 days off-grid for most couples. Both charge three ways: solar (automatic), alternator while driving, and shore power at campgrounds. The battery monitor shows exactly how much capacity remains at all times.
Water — 7 Gallons Fresh + 7 Gallons Gray
Seven gallons of fresh water and seven gallons of gray water capacity. That's 2-3 days of conservative use for two people — washing dishes, cooking, brushing teeth. Keep drinking water in separate jugs. Fill up at campgrounds, gas stations, or any potable water source. The electric pump gives you running water at the kitchen sink. It's enough for weekend trips without thinking about it. For extended trips, you'll plan water stops every few days.
Toilet — Cassette vs. Composting
The standard hideaway cassette toilet is a portable, enclosed system. You dump it at any RV dump station — simple and familiar. The composting toilet upgrade ($2,500) separates liquids and solids, eliminates odor almost entirely, and removes the need for dump stations. Most owners who travel more than weekends prefer composting. Honest take: the cassette works fine for occasional use. If you're doing more than a few weekends a month, the composting upgrade pays for itself in convenience.
Shower — No Built-In (And That's Intentional)
There's no fixed indoor shower — and that's a deliberate design choice. A permanent shower stall takes 4+ square feet of living space, and most van owners end up storing things in it. Instead: the kitchen faucet extends on a hose for quick rinse-offs inside, the external shower add-on ($800) gives you a private outdoor setup with a curtain, and campground showers and gym memberships handle the rest. In 18 feet, every square inch matters. We chose living space over a shower stall you'd rarely use.
Kitchen — Induction Cooktop, Fridge, Real Counter Space
The induction cooktop is safer and faster than propane — no open flame, no gas lines. The 12V refrigerator runs off your battery system 24/7. Five drawers of storage, overhead cabinet with LED lighting, real wood countertops, and a sink with an extendable faucet. The counter space is enough to prep a real meal, not just heat up ramen. The kitchen is the same across both trims — no compromises at the base price.
Short Queen Bed
72" long x 60" wide
Vented platform for mattress airflow — no mold
Under-bed storage for gear, bins, and equipment
Room for cassette or composting toilet underneath
Comfortable for two people under 6 feet
Will I fit at 6'2"?
Honestly — it's tight. At 72 inches (6 feet), the short queen fits people under 6' comfortably. If you're 6'2" or taller, you'll sleep diagonally or with your feet off the edge. For taller folks, we recommend the LV5 or LV7 with full-length beds. We'd rather you get the right van.
Optional: Foldaway rear seat (+$3,200) — adds a second seating area that converts.
Two Trims. One Standard of Quality.
Both trims get the same kitchen, the same bed, the same build quality, and the same warranty. The difference is electrical capacity and driving technology.

Calculate Your Real PaymentLV3 Questions, Answered Honestly
Can it fit in my garage?
Yes. The LV3 is 18 feet long. Most standard two-car garages are 20 feet deep. It fits with room to walk around it. The height is 9'4" exterior — check your garage door clearance, as many standard doors are 7 feet. You may need a high-clearance garage door (8 feet) or to park it outside.
Is the short queen big enough?
The short queen is 72 inches long by 60 inches wide. If you're under 6 feet tall, you'll sleep comfortably. At 6'2" and above, your feet will hang off or you'll need to sleep diagonally. Be honest with yourself here — if you're tall, the LV5 or LV7 with a full-length bed may be a better fit. We'd rather you buy the right van than the cheapest van.
Is this enough van for full-time living?
It can work — people do it. But the LV3 is optimized for weekends, road trips, and extended travel, not permanent living. The 7-gallon water tanks need frequent refilling, and 18 feet gets tight if you never leave. For full-time vanlife, the LV5 (20 ft) or LV7 (22 ft) give you more water, more storage, and more breathing room. The LV3 is the best choice if you have a home base and use the van 2-4 weeks per month.
What's included in the price?
Everything. The $79,995 (Trailhead) or $92,995 (Backcountry) includes the brand-new RAM ProMaster chassis, the complete camper conversion, every standard system installed, and RVIA certification. There are no hidden costs. You don't need to buy a van separately. You don't need to find a builder. You drive it off our lot in Rifle, Colorado.
What's the difference between Trailhead and Backcountry?
The Trailhead ($79,995) is the complete van — kitchen, bed, heater, solar, everything you need. The Backcountry ($92,995) doubles the electrical system (600Ah battery, 400W solar), adds 12V off-grid AC, and includes the SLT chassis upgrades: adaptive cruise, blind spot detection, 10.1" touchscreen, remote start, LED lighting, swivel seats, and 360-degree camera. The extra $13,000 buys serious off-grid capability and modern driving tech.
How long is the wait?
Build times vary by season and trim level. Contact us for current lead times. We build in Rifle, Colorado, and you can pick up in person or arrange delivery.
Do I need a special license to drive this?
No. The LV3 drives like a regular van. Standard driver's license, standard insurance (RV policy), standard gas stations. At 18 feet, it's shorter than most full-size pickup trucks with a bed cover.
